Reports on impact analysis requirements

Overview

High-quality impact analysis helps ensure Cabinet decisions on regulatory proposals are informed by evidence, a clear understanding of options, and an assessment of likely impacts.

The Ministry for Regulation administers Cabinet's impact analysis requirements and monitors how well they are being met across government.

To support transparency and accountability, we publish regular reports on compliance with these requirements.

These reports examine key indicators such as whether Regulatory Impact Statements (RISs)/Regulatory Analysis Summaries (RASs) were completed when required and the outcomes of formal quality assurance assessments.
