The Ministry has taken over responsibility for publishing Regulatory Impact Statements (RISs), previously managed by the Treasury.
Our progress continues
Since our official set-up on 1 March 2024, the Ministry for Regulation has made considerable progress in its development and operational capacity.
About us
The Ministry for Regulation is a small government agency with a big job to do. We’re responsible for helping other government agencies make their rules and regulations easier for New Zealanders to understand and navigate.
Early Childhood Education (ECE) regulatory sector review
The ECE regulatory review assessed whether the current set of regulations are achieving the right outcomes for early childhood education.
